Topics

The main topic of the workshop will thus be a combination of learning and ontologies or – stated in another way – interoperability of learning applications through formal definitions of the semantics involved.

Specific topics addressed by the workshop are:

In addition, papers addressing general purpose semantic web technology are welcomed but should respect the overall topic of the workshop, i.e. they should have a strong focus on learning.

Deadline for expression of interest (abstract) July 10th, 2004
Deadline for submission: July 11th, 2004
Notification of acceptance: August 4th, 2004
Cameray ready paper due: August 20th, 2004
OTM 2004 WOSE: October 28th, 2004
OTM 2004 Main Conferences: October 25th-29th, 2004

Submissions

Two kinds of submissions are possible: regular papers reporting on original work (up to 10 pages) and position papers (up to 3 pages). Submit your paper via wose04-info@starlab.vub.ac.be . Submissions may be handed in in Postscript, PDF or MS Word format. Use the appropriate LNCS style from the Springer site.

Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, scientific correctness, and clarity.

Accepted workshop contributions will be published by Springer-Verlag as LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) as a part of the workshop proceedings of the 2004 International On The Move Federated Conferences (OTM). Author instructions and style sheets can be found at the Springer site.

Registering to the OTM conference and WOSE workshop is prerequisite for the paper to be published.
